Refund & Cancellation Policy
When you can cancel, what you get back, and how long it takes.
The short version
Cancel within 7 days of payment and before work starts, and you get a full refund. After work starts, you pay for what has been done and we refund the rest. Approved refunds reach you in 5-7 business days.
1. Summary
We sell software development services, not physical goods, so there is nothing to ship or return. Refunds depend on how much work has been done when you cancel.
This policy applies to services bought directly from Edoble. Where a signed agreement says something different, that agreement applies.
2. Cancelling a project
You may cancel at any time by writing to [email protected]. The cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your email, and we will acknowledge it within 2 business days.
We stop work immediately on receiving a cancellation, unless you ask us to complete something already in progress.
3. Refund by project stage
| When you cancel | What you get back |
|---|---|
| Within 7 days of payment, before work has started | 100% of what you paid |
| After work starts, during discovery or design | Amount paid, less the hours worked at the agreed rate |
| During development, before the first milestone | Up to 50% of the advance, depending on work completed |
| After a milestone has been delivered and approved | No refund for completed milestones. Unstarted milestones are refunded in full |
| After final delivery | No refund. Defects are covered by the 30-day correction period in our Terms |
When you cancel mid-stage we will send you a written statement of the work completed and the hours spent, so you can see exactly how the refund figure was reached.
You keep the rights to whatever has been delivered and paid for at the point of cancellation.
4. Refund timeline
- Within 2 business days — we acknowledge your cancellation.
- Within 5 business days — we send you a written statement of work completed and the refund amount.
- Within 7 business days of your agreement to that amount — we initiate the refund.
- 5-7 business days after initiation — the money reaches your account.
The final step is handled by your bank or payment provider and is outside our control. In our experience UPI and card refunds arrive within 5-7 business days; bank transfers can take slightly longer.
5. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method. A card payment is refunded to that card; a UPI payment to that UPI ID; a bank transfer to the originating account.
If the original method is closed or unavailable, we will arrange a bank transfer to an account in the same name as the original payer. We cannot refund to a third party.
Refunds are made in Indian Rupees for the amount actually received by us. Where a payment gateway has deducted a non-refundable transaction fee, that fee is not part of the refund, and we will tell you the exact amount.
6. What is not refundable
- Work already completed, delivered and approved.
- Third-party costs we have paid on your behalf — domains, hosting, licences, app store fees, paid APIs.
- Payment gateway transaction fees, where the provider does not return them.
- Consulting sessions and audits that have already taken place.
- Rush charges, where the accelerated schedule has already been applied.
- Custom work that has been delivered and matches the approved Scope, where you have simply changed your mind about the requirement.
7. Products and subscriptions
For our own products — Attendance, Online Compiler and Axon Share — and for any subscription or maintenance plan:
- Cancel within 7 days of a new subscription starting and we refund it in full.
- After that, you can cancel at any time and the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months.
- Renewals are not refunded once the new period has begun, unless you cancelled before the renewal date and it was charged in error.
- Annual plans cancelled mid-term are refunded on a pro-rata basis for whole unused months, less any discount you received for paying annually.
8. If we cancel
If we terminate an engagement for any reason other than your breach of the Terms, we will refund 100% of all amounts paid for work not yet completed, and hand over everything produced up to that point.
We will always tell you as early as possible if we believe we cannot complete a project.
9. Failed and duplicate payments
If a payment is debited but the transaction fails, or you are charged twice, tell us at [email protected] with the transaction reference.
Failed transactions are usually reversed automatically by the payment provider within 5–7 business days. Duplicate charges confirmed by us are refunded within 5-7 business days of confirmation.
10. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with:
- Your name and the company name on the invoice
- The invoice number or transaction reference
- The date and amount of payment
- The reason for the request
Use the subject line “Refund request”. We acknowledge within 2 business days and respond in full within 5.
11. Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, write to [email protected] and ask for it to be reviewed. A founder will look at it personally and reply within 10 business days.
We would rather resolve a disagreement directly than have you raise a chargeback, which is slower for both of us. Unresolved disputes are handled under section 16 of our Terms.
